Can you lay a stove down to transport it?
GE Appliances says that it’s okay if your stove or oven lays down when transported in a vehicle on their support website.
When moving a range or wall oven, it can be placed on either side during transporting without doing any harm to the appliance. “Sides” refers to the left or the right, not the rear. Glass top (radiant) cooking products should be moved in an upright position, carefully protected, to prevent possible damage to the glass cooking surface.

Conclusion
A stove can fit in an SUV, but that also depends on the type of SUV you have access to. Most SUVs, both mid-size and full-size, will be able to fit a stove inside. Any smaller SUV models like the Small SUVs and X-Small SUVs will give you a lot of difficulties trying to do the job. So, make sure you measure the SUVs’ cargo space before trying to load in a stove.
